Final pH (at 25°C) : 7.1 + 0.2

Directions 

Suspend 20.3 gms. in 1000 ml. distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Dispense in tubes containing inverted Durham’s tubes. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50°C and add filter sterilized solution of 1.2% Sodium metabisulphite (0.5ml) and 1.0% Ferric ammonium citrate (0.5ml) to each tube.
