Suspend 44.14 gms. in 1000 ml. distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Dispense in 100 ml. amounts and sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Cool to around 50°C and aseptically add sterile 5 ml blood to every 100 ml medium. Mix well and pour into sterile petri plates. |
