Suspend 33 gms. of B342 in 1000 ml. distilled water. Boil to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minute For blood agar cool to 45-50°C & aseptically add 7% v/v sterile defibrinated blood. Mix thoroughly, avoiding air bubbles & pour into sterile petri plates. |
